How to connect CapyPlayer to Emby

CapyPlayer can connect directly to your Emby server and play movies, shows, subtitles, and high-bitrate files from your private library.

Requirements

  • An Emby server reachable from your device.
  • Your Emby username and password.
  • The server host, port, and HTTP or HTTPS setting.

Setup

  1. Open CapyPlayer.
  2. Go to Resources and tap the add button.
  3. Choose Emby.
  4. Enter the server host, port, username, password, and HTTPS option.
  5. Save the resource and open your media library.

Troubleshooting

  • If connection fails, verify the host and port from a browser on the same device.
  • If libraries are missing, check your Emby user permissions.
  • If playback is slow, test local network speed and server transcoding settings.
